The Farr Institute @ Scotland is a collaboration between six Scottish Universities and NHS National Services Scotland. The aim is to both improve the health of the Scottish population and place Scotland as a global leader in health informatics research.
We bring together researchers and analysts from many disciplines initially into two sites at Edinburgh’s Bioquarter and Dundee Medical School. Bringing people together means we can capitalise on existing resources and expertise, and create a much better environment for working together. These are backed by a network across Scotland, and link into the wider Farr UK Network.

Case studies highlighting our researchers’ work
The public engagement workstream of The Farr Institute @ Scotland is conducting a programme of public engagement activities in order to raise awareness of the ways that researchers use data and the types of research that are conducted, whilst also finding out what people think about this and feeding back public views into decision-making processes within Farr Scotland and the wider UK Farr community.
